SOUTHERN BEEBLOSSOM (Gaura angustifolia)

WHAT FLORIDA NATIVE PLANT IS BLOOMING TODAY?: SOUTHERN BEEBLOSSOM (Gaura angustifolia)

tall, lanky annual wildflower (3-4ft) attracts pollinators. The flowers start out white and turn pink overnight (functional convergence?); flowers only last a day.

I had a hummingbird feeding at mine this week. Freely self seeds, so some consider it aggressive, but worth it when you see the many visitors.
