WHAT FLORIDA NATIVE PLANT IS BLOOMING TODAY?: YELLOWEYED GRASS (Xyris spp. either caroliniana or X. platylepis)

This particular species flower is not yellow but white. and it isn’t a grass either. So much for common names 😉

For moist to wet locations; loved by pollinators; “two species produce yellow or white flowers, Xyris caroliniana and X. platylepis”
