BLADDERPOD (Sesbania vesicaria)

WHAT FLORIDA NATIVE PLANT IS BLOOMING TODAY?: BLADDERPOD (Sesbania vesicaria)

Bud depicted. May also be referred to as Bagpod.

Parts may be toxic to cattle and goats. Grows very tall…5 foot plus and it waves in the breeze.

The plant leaves follow the sun. They face east in the morning and slowly turn as the sun moves to the west in the evening. Fascinating to observe.
